Doune & Dunblane Tournament Finals – Saturday 1st June
Following two nights of good, friendly, spirited competition involving over 250 youngsters on the fields of Dunblane Primary School, the schedule for the finals of the 2013 Doune & Dunblane Five-a-side Tournament is now taking shape. These will take place during the Dunblane Primary School PTA’s Fete on Saturday 1st June.
A PDF copy of the full schedule for Saturday is available at the bottom of this page.
In the P6/7 tournament, an unbreakable tie between Queen Victoria #1 and Deal With It – whose points tallies, goal difference and goals-scored tallies were all the same, with the game between the two having been a 1-1 draw – means that five teams from that age-group will take part on Saturday, with those two teams contesting a play-off at 2.00pm before the P6/7 semi-finals.
The two P4/5 semi-finals begin at 1.30pm and 1.45pm, with the P6/7 semi-finals starting at 2.20pm and 2.35pm. There will be third-place play-offs and both runners-up and winners will be presented with medals. The tournament trophies, including the Kevin Petrie Memorial Cup for P6/7, will be presented at the close of play for each age group respectively.
Please note that only players who played on Tuesday/Wednesday evening may participate on Saturday. No substitutions can be made from the original seven players on the team sheet.
