Doune/Dunblane 5-a-side Tournament details

We at Dunblane Boys’ Brigade look forward to hosting the annual Doune & Dunblane Five-a-side Tournament this week. The P6/7 tournament takes place on Tuesday 28th May and the P4/5 Tournament on Wednesday 29th May. Both evenings will kick off at 6.30pm sharp and players should arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand.

There will be a tuck shop selling juice, soft drinks, water, sweets and snacks and – by popular demand – there will also be a tea and coffee stand run by parents. St. Andrew’s Ambulance volunteers will be on hand for any first aid requirements.

Please remember that ALL players must wear shinguards fully covered by socks to ensure safety and comply with insurance requirements. Sorry to be nit-picky, but we must insist on this.

Parents and spectators are reminded to please let the children manage their own teams! They have already taken on the responsibility of organising their squad, team name, strips and payments, so do resist the temptation to take over. It’s just for fun, even if there is a trophy on Saturday!

Attached to this article, you’ll find a PDF detailing the fixture running order for both evenings. Please treat this as a DRAFT in case of any last-minute withdrawals. No additional teams can be entered at this stage.

Saturday (semi-finals and finals): This will kick off at 1.30pm during the Dunblane Primary School Fete with the P4/5 semi-finals at 1.30pm followed by the P6/7 semi-finals at 2.00pm and continuing to third-place play-offs and finals thereafter, finishing at 4.00pm. Please note: only players listed on the original squad of seven can play. Absolutely no replacements can be used for missing players.

If you have any questions, please e-mail us via the contact page.
